A warm welcome to one and all
Yesterday was the 125th anniversary of the death of Fr Daniel Gallagher, friend of David Livingstone and the founder of St Peter’s Parish in 1855. He opened the first church in (Partick)Bridge St in 1855. By the end of the century it proved too small and Dean McNairney with the encouragement of Archbishop Eyre opened the present building in Hyndland St in 1903.
LENT: Office of Readings 7 15 am St Simon’s. Morning Prayer 7 45 am St Peter’s. Mass daily 10 am St Peter’s and 12 30 St Simon’s. For Lent in St Peter’s also Mon, Wed, Fri at 8 am. Tue and Thu 6 pm. Stations of the Cross Mon and Fri 7 pm. (St Simon’s Tue 1 pm).
ADULT EDUCATION IN CATHOLIC FAITH Tue 6 Mar Fr Tom Magill on Deuteronomy and Easter. 7 30 pm in hall. All welcome.
